Why SSB is conducted during officers selection in defence forces ?
How SSB tests/LIFE works: Imagine a person who has no experience of this world. Straight from the heavens he is brought into this world. The world is new to him. He will react to the world (through the experience he had in heaven). He might like a few things, he might hate a few things and to many things he might have a neutral reaction. These reactions came due to the concept of attitude. Attitude is nothing but our reaction towards any stimuli. The stimuli in this was our world. He reacted based on some "given attitude". A person cannot react to anything or might have a neutral reaction to the things which he didn't have any experience with. So, experience gives attitude and attitude makes our reactions. Why you like noodles over dosa/idli is another matter of attitude. But how attitudes are formed? Are they already put into us by GOD and thus, we react to things according to this given OR we generate attitudes towards things and then this attitude generates again more attitudes? Well, the answer is not certain. According to my knowledge, some attitudes are naturally given to us (reason unknown) and some we form in this world. Our nature is nothing but our attitude. Earlier i didn't like having chowmein, but then, continuous eating made me crave for it. I offered dark chocolate to my Nigerian friend and he ate it with so much love and the same chocolate I had to spit out due to its bitterness. I cannot say to that friend "your taste buds are not working". Now whenever my friend sees dark chocolate, he buys it and whenever i see dark chocolate, i question "how can you even eat this?" Some people hate newspaper reading and some people love it. Some changed their "attitude" by continuous reading and now the attitude is that "Oh! I miss reading the newspaper". OUR REACTION TOWARDS THINGS IN THIS WORLD, DECIDES OUR ACTIONS TOO. The good news is attitude can be changed, it can be built. Perception about a thing comes from past experiences. A person with no experience at all, cannot form judgement about anything. Well, things are not that easy. Take an example: Suppose in a dark place, you were beaten by the goons and now you have started hating "Dark" places, "Dark things'' (Because the impact of pain in the dark was quite a lot. Now, suppose your NRI friend gives you "something" as a gift which is dark in colour. In this case, the possibility can be that you don't like it: Even when you don't know what the thing is". Our past experiences build our nature. Suppose some "BABA" deceived you in the past, now every baba looks to you as a "fraud" person. We humans want to survive in nature. Nature had given us this mechanism so that we know that "FIRE BURNS FINGERS '' when we first tried to TEST fire by putting our finger in the candle in childhood. But BUDDHA said, we have three types of sanskaras: 1. lines made by fingers on water 2. lines made by finger on sand 3. lines made by fingers on rock. The third's impression will remain for years. So, it's our nature to LET IT GO TOO. How much we hold on to and how much IMPACT we want a circumstance to have in our lives, depends on us. The person maybe after getting beaten by goons, may have developed fear OR may have even taken self defence training and developed courage. So, how we CHURN any circumstance, makes our nature. Too much churning (like cows) will make any circumstance in life "Patthar ki lakeer". Now when this lakeer(line) becomes prominent, the only thing we see about ANYTHING IS THAT ONLY. That is why WAT in SSB is asked. YYou are given 15 seconds so that the most prominent thinking about the thing COMES UP. How? The mind knows that only 15 seconds are there. So in our mind "whatever shines the most" (patthar ki lakeer), that part is written by us. If you thought the world is bad (due to past bad experiences and churning it over and over again)m became a patthar ki lakeer in mind. Well, the mind will look for the most prominent thing and write in WAT ie "WORLD IS BAD". Everyone does work in life. Everyone has a mechanism to do a thing. HOW YOU DO A THING IN REAL
LIFE, WILL HAVE A REFLECTION HOW YOU SOLVE A THING IN TAT STORIES. How can a person even think of planning when in life he doesn't HAVE PLANNING PART AS A PROMINENT PART. So, instead of improving stories, improve LIFE. Automatically in 4 minutes, mind will get "PATTHAR KI LAKEER" ACTIONS to you, to help you write a good story! A blind man cannot define colours because he doesn't have any taste. Same with PGT, How you have done in life WITH OTHERS, naturally you would do there. YOU WILL DO THERE, HOW YOU HAVE DONE HERE. It is natural. You cannot become "SOMEONE" there. You can only be YOU. YOU has to be improved and this will improve when you change your attitude. Don't churn negative things in life. Churn good things. What you churn, becomes part of YOU. You are your NATURE. Nature is PERCEPTION. Some people fight, some people run away. This is natural based on our pasts and how much we have ALLOWED OUR PAST TO LAY INTO OUR MIND'S DEEPEST LEVEL. NOTE: YOU WILL DO EXACTLY THE SAME IN SSB, AS YOU DO IN LIFE. YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS RULE. If you reason out things in life, you would reason out in SSB too. Yes, training institutes can REMIND YOU OF WHAT YOU ARE AND HOW TO LOOK! Now when a teacher gives you good spectacles, the world is new again! But again, it is up to you to CHANGE PERCEPTION. NO ACTIONS IN STORIES, NO THOUGHT IN WAT,COMES JUST LIKE THAT! WHEN IN PRESSURE, REAL NATURE COMES UP! NATURE IS ACCUMULATION OF "CHURNING". There is a saying "Dood ka jala, chaach phook phook ke peeta hain" Yes, our bad experiences do define our future, BUT IT'S UP TO US, HOW MUCH WE WANT TO PAY ATTENTION TO "HOT MILK". A weak mind will stick to the past. A good healthy mind would look forward. Burn the traces of failures of PAST! Don't let the bad "sanskaras" dictate you! Don't sit on the pile of negativity which you accumulated.
