Who is the interviewing officer in SSB ? How to give your best in SSb interview ?
Who is an interviewing officer? The answer depends how you see him. The way you perceive him, changes your responses: verbally and facially. If he is according to you a very powerful person, a person who knows you already and the person who is omniscient, then your performance automatically degrades. You enter into his cabin and see how lavishly he is sitting there like a lion ready to eat you, a small rabbit. You are his bait. The more powerful you imagine him to be, the worse you perform. That's why many sons and daughters of army families better perform than civilians in many cases because they have seen these officers daily in their neighborhood. They already had talk with him in cantonments while having jogging and running. So for them, its easier and natural and that's why they remain calm. Now since many of us are from civilian background and many are soldiers even, we need to change our approach to see HIM. Remember these things before entering his room: 1. He is a normal person who like me was just a candidate 2. He has done a small course in DRDO and that's it 3. Its his liability to select me and not my desperation to get selected 4. He is my uncle who has started ssb coaching and this is his coaching centre 5. He gets salary to put good candidates in academy. He is just the middle man between me and the academy 6. I, under no circumstance tell him more than what he asked 7. He wants to take me 8. He is also a simple man like me 9. He is my friend with whom I can share my things 10. I won't try to read his mind but answer honesty as if this is not an interview but a conversation on a sofa set while watching cricket watch 11. He will be more happy to take me than I will be 12. He is also a civilian like me 13. I will enjoy the conversation with him. 14. He is not testing me. He just wants to know me better Remember these things and keep them in your mind. You shall do your best in interview (Conversation).
