How to get Scree in SSB Easily
HOW TO GET SCREENED IN ????
Very...Very...Very Easy Approach...
DAY 1, SCREENING TEST, MINI SSB Candidates are being regarded as Screened In/ Screened Out....
ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED ARE.......
1. Documentation......
2. Officers Intelligence Rating Test.....
3. Picture Perception and Discussion Test...
{ Some students specially FRESHER, on Day 1 started getting scared or CONFUSED on seeing the LARGE number of candidates and the ENVIRONMENT.
Some are in habit of becoming MORE friendly with OTHERS.}
My suggestion is that....Try to avoid such types of behaviour as it would hamper your PERFORMANCE... Believe in yourself and your personality...
FRESHER v/s FRESHER.....
REPEATER v/s REPEATER....
SSB IS THE TEST OF YOUR OWN PERSONALITY.......
For documentation, it is advisable to all the FRESHER to carry all the RELEVANT documents, that they are asked to do so.
That's It.....
In OIR...There are two sets of questions...
Verbal.....40 questions.....25min approx.
Non Verbal..40 questions..19min approx.
* Statistics are subject to change.....
* NO NEGATIVE Marking....
In PPDT.....
* Test of imagination and communication skills.
30sec to see a HAZY picture, 1min to note down details...(Number of characters and their Age, gender and mood)... And 4min not to describe the picture, but to write the story. Then discussion takes place in group of 15-20 Candidates... By sitting in group only each candidate gets time to Narrate their story....
* FRESHER - approx 1min.
* REPEATER - approx 40-50sec.
SECRETS TO SCREENED IN......
* Both OIR and PPDT has their value but OIR has a great weightage in your selection.
* Do well and secure ABOVE 90% in it. The OIR carries 70% WEIGHTAGE of making you SCREENED IN while PPDT HELPS 30% only.
* For PPDT, Don't MUG UP and POUR any story on the paper there. Just remember that the Hero or Heroine you chose to do the act is YOU and YOU will also react in the similar way if put under the same positive, negative or neutral situation. So behave positively and responsibly.
* Don't INVITE problems but look for an issue in the picture. For this you need MICRO PICTURE reading. If you are done with this you will get an issue to be overcome by a positive story.
* PPDT and TAT are very different. Don't kill two birds with same arrow. Both are to be treated differently.
* Be AUDIBLE in the narration.
MICRO PICTURE READING :
* Observe the BACKGROUND and that will set your Plot Location.
* See for the following details in foreground- the Hero or the Heroine of the PICTURE, their DRESSES, their MOOD, ATMOSPHERE and other artifacts to add sense to the story i.e. it's theme.
WRITING :
* Show some standard in your vocabulary.
* Add some sense to the story, Feel that you are a millitary officer, a responsible citizen. Don't just add events in the story but make it a story. Your story must be based on a theme.
* Read stories from different sources but don't mug it up, try to correlate it with the situations of YOUR life as how you would deal with it.
* Follow the pattern of past, present and future.
DISCUSSION :
* If you see someone jumping for taking the chance to speak, you sit back and wait to make a point but if things happen otherwise you must make the surrounding suitable for discussion.
* Don't beat about the bush or Don't speak too much just hit the nail that's it.
* The more you speak lesser becomes your chances of selection.
* Speak little and speak to the point.
* Try to CONVINCE others but DON'T ARGUE.
* Give only logical reasons to support your point.
* Dont perform SOLO but act one with the group.
* Also don't be like that YOUR STORY should be ACCEPTED. Go with the group instead of pulling it down.
And lastly..... remember that it's also the REJECTION DAY.....since large number of candidates report on DAY 1 and the acessors have the duty to select the CREAM CANDIDATES among us.
Self Confidence..Self Motivate...Sincerity.
Picture Perception and Discussion Test...
* Test of imagination and communication skills........
